Ayurveda (pronounced Ah-yur-vay-dah)

Ayurveda is the ancient method of medicine that blends science with holistic healing. Ayurveda means "knowledge of life". Developed in India over 6,000 years ago, Ayurveda uses a natural approach to creating balance and strengthening the body's healing abilities.

Ayurveda Therapy

Due to factors beyond our control such as harmful contaminants in our water, air and food supply as well as emotional and physical stress that we face on a daily basis it is difficult to maintain at optimal health. The goal of Vedic therapy is to balance and restore ones physiological systems, emotional state and thought. No two individuals are alike, therefore every person has a personalized treatment plan based on that persons dosha.

According to Ayurveda there are three mind/body types called "doshas" that control all of the body's functions. These doshas are Vata (regulates movement), Pitta (regulates metabolism), and Kapha (regulates structure). The predominance of one or more of these doshas in the body determines each individuals mind/body type.
